Cashmere Blonde Ale Extract Beer Recipe Kit

Disappointed

I have to say I am a little disappointed with my Cashmere Blonde. I was hoping for a more golden colorization and a bit hoppier but the final product doesn’t look or taste too much different than my previous batch of Kolsch! Since most of the extract beers use a malt syrup, they all seem to have a very similar characteristic and taste. Granted- it’s not a bad taste, but just not very differentiated from other recipes

Nice light tasty brew

I just got this one egged and nearly carbonated. Preliminary taste is of a nice tasty subtlety hopped beer. A very nice clean taste. I think it’s going to be a good one.

Blond, you are not

The appearance is an amber, definitely not a blond. The malty notes are more present than the citrus and melon. It seems closer to an amber beer. Multiple friends tried the first bottles and they all said it wasn’t like a typical blond, but more of an amber. First taste impressions were noted as toffee, butterscotch and malt, then a little citrus. Still a very good tasting beer, which we will likely brew again, but it’s definitely not a light citrus blond.
