Chemex® Coffee Maker, 8 Cup Glass Handle

Trying to use glass instead of plastic. When I put coffee filter with coffee in it, it broke. They should be made with a very small opening on top like the plastic Melita filter so it can't break. Had to buy a glass cone to put in it. That worked.The price is very high.

I selected this carafe to use as part of my AP-Environmental Science class activity of roasting coffee as a way of teaching about the trade-offs that we sometimes must decide between regarding biodiversity loss, habitat degradation, economics, and globalization. My students are in the process of using this Cheney pour over system as part of their final project of comparing a variety of beans from various sources for roasting/grinding/brewing.
