This is a beautiful door knocker--exactly the type I was looking for! However, I needed a brass color and thought the antique bronze would be too dark. Ordered it anyway because I loved it. It was too dark, but since I had not painted the door yet, I decided to go with a lighter color on the door and it will all work out. So many door knockers, even the expensive ones, are so cheezy. This is a beautiful, handcrafted item that if you can make the colors work, you will love it. I did.

The overall experience was excellent. I e-mailed Mr. Bushere to send me a picture and he did promptly. Then I talked to him again by e-mail about the color not being as brassy looking as I wanted, but in the end I decided to paint my front door a more compatible color and it will all work out. He offered to have it returned with no problem. It's pricey but worth it both in quality and beauty. Excellent customer service.
