ATMOSPHERE Airflow Armored Leggings

I’m 5’4”, 160-165 lbs. I purchased a size large. When these first arrived, out of the package, I was like no way. They seemed way too long. However once I put them on and filled them out, they fit magically fit. Except the armor around the hips felt off. I realized each armor pad was inserted a different way. After an inspecting them and a quick Google search, I realized this type of SAS tec armor is meant for the smooth side to be facing out and the hard bumpy side facing the body. Turning the armor this way made them conform more and so much more comfortable. If I had not figured this out, it’s likely I would have returned them. I love how high waisted they are, they fit nicely under any pants, and felt cool (on a scorching day in San Diego). My only wish would be that the knee armor, while adjustable (great), could 1. be easier to remove 2. fit into its pocket better. $199 may seem like a lot, however finding specialized gear that fits, is comfortable, allows protection while still being able to wear other gear/clothing isn’t easy. There are so few options these days.
