Floor Grip - Non-Slip for Vinyl & Wood Flooring

Disappointed

I run a martial arts school and the coating on our wooden floor was wearing off. I did a lot of research in finding a new coating. I picked Floor Grip based on the email response from Slip Doctors. I followed the instructions to the letter but even after the proper preparation the floor turned out very gritty and not very user friendly, in fact it was almost like walking on 120 grit sandpaper! If you don’t keep stirring it, the additive sinks. In fact in some places on my floor they collected into clumps. In the end I had to sand it all down and buy a gallon of polyurethane to try and smooth it out. Very disappointing.

Works Great and is invisible

I was reluctant to apply the Floor Grip product because I thought it would change the look of my stairs. I was pleased to see the product did not change the look and it works great. I am thrilled.

No more slip and slide

We have interior hardwood stairs and my older Labrador slipped on them a few times. I’m not getting any younger and I didn’t like the idea of a carpet runner. I gave this a try and chose the gloss finish. Applied 2 coats with a 4 inch roller in a cross hatch pattern and I love the results. Textured surface is visible but not distracting. You can feel the abrasive grit with your hands but it is barely noticeable to walk on barefooted. I deducted 1 star only because I wish smaller volumes were available. I needed less than 1/2 a gallon for the stairs and now I have a lot left over that will end up in the landfill. I still highly recommend this product and would purchase again.
