I own two WABI bikes, a Lightning and a Classic. They are wildly different in many ways, considering that the geometries are the same, they are quite different. The Lightning is fast, it an accelerate half way up a long climb when there was no expectations of any accelerations. The Lightning produces smiles at the top of a hill rather than a fearful expression of hoping your breath returns with fear of your heart stopping. I opted for the Sub 15 wheels and they are holding up as if they were 40 spokes and not 20. The Lightning is amazing in every way. So I bought a backup bike, a Classic. I don't know what makes these two bikes so different, but the Classic, even in it's Cosmic Red finish is not half as much fun, is slower and more sluggish than the Lightning. Same Sub 15 wheels, same gearing g inches... but when a guy on the Classic is thinking about pushing the bike up the rest of the hill, the Lightning guy accelerates and crests the same hill with a smile. I am selling my Classic and buying another Lightning. It has to be the Columbus tubing? Either way you win by buying a bike from WABI you get te hnical support from people that care and love what they are doing.
