Wonderful Experience

From start to finish this has been a wonderful experience. Every question I have had and email I have sent has been responded to quickly and with kindness. They were able to find the case color I wanted and even sent updates along the way. The cello itself is beautiful and plays smooth and clear. For anyone who doesn’t live nearby, don’t let that stop you. I live on the other side of the country. It’s worth it.

Totally satisfied and happy

I recently purchased a new cello online from Stringworks and was completely satisfied with the experience. I am an older beginner and by no means a great cellist, nor did I come into the process with a lot of experience buying a cello. I am amongst the many who during the lockdown bought an instrument online to maintain my sanity. After 2 years of study, I had realized that the instrument I had bought, though a reasonable student model, was in the long run not going to inspire me nor and allow me to grow in the manner I wished to. Problem is I live rurally, and it is inconvenient to visit the local shops. I found Stringworks from a youtube video and gave them a call. Right from the onset I was impressed with how friendly, helpful and interested they were in helping me find the right instrument. I dealt mostly with Evan and he is a great guy. He was patient and helped guided me through the process while educating me along the way. He did not try and upsell me or take advantage of my naïveté but instead seemed to be really interested in getting me a cello that would address my needs. He was responsive and always answered my (many and often stupid) questions in a patient, helpful manner, providing sound samples of the different cellos and making sure that I understood the differences and nuances. When I received the instrument with a new bow it was truthfully a little overwhelming. The cello itself was gorgeous and the workmanship excellent as well as the setup but there is a big difference between the sound and performance of a student level cello and a truly fine instrument, and it took me a bit to find my bearings. It was at this point when I felt Stringworks support really shinned. Even though the sale had already been made Evan continued to support me and helped me navigate my way through the transition. We swapped out strings to address issues which I was hearing and they stuck with me until I was totally satisfied and happy. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy online.

Beautiful instrument!

I love this cello! I'm an adult beginner, that didn't want a student cello to start out with. Wanted one that is better than that, so I didn't have to keep buying one as I progress. This is a lovely instrument, with a nice dark, warm tone. The first time I bowed it, I was able to get some lovely tones from it. I know I will be very happy with this cello for many, many years. The guys at Stringworks were great in answering all my questions, in a timely manner and helped me pick out this cello.
