These inverse brake levers can be very useful.
There are a limited number of places on handlebars to have cable-operated brake and shift levers, the tubular ends of handlebars being one of such places. Remember barcons? The trouble with them on the ends of handlebars was in having one's knees inadvertently bump them and shift the gearing. Yet inverse brake levers rarely have such knee-bump troubles and can be used with most but not all rim brakes, not V- and not linear pull brakes requiring a longer cable pull, and can be used with most standard pull, cable operated disc brakes. Inverse brake levers are a welcome match to VO Porteur handlebars which have such a short length grip area. Yes, these work very well. Just be sure to get the diameter size needed to fit your handlebars.

mountain cables required
These are nice little levers, but I only give 3 stars because there was molding sprue/ flashing in one of the bolt wells that I had to remove to allow free turning of the tightening bolt. Also, they require mountain brake cables. Plus, they have to be installed with the levers removed, or they will bend/ kink the cable. (I found out by doing it wrong.) Bent cables don't slide too smooth. I think these are high mechanical advantage, as the pads have to be set close to the brake surface, or levers bottom out. Otherwise, these are spiffy levers.
