Faux vs. real fur ruff

Haven't had it in blowing snow yet, but in single-digit and 20 mph wind conditions out walking my dog, it has been just what I was hoping for. I lived with a faux-fur hood ruff for the past 40+ years and it worked fine for my purposes. Considered the real fur ruff, but looking at the cost and special care required to maintain it, this works fine for me.

The ruff is a must have.
