I love the storyline adventure approach. Even though I may have blinked an led hundreds of times, the necessity of "lighting up the place" through an imaginative storyline made it worthwhile to wire it up and do it again, as if "for the first time." As a 52 year old who has loved playing with electronic circuits since around 7, it made me feel like a kid again. I've enjoyed working through the lessons and lighting up Cogsworth City again! I give it two thumbs up.

I am using the Cogsworth City with my seventh grade STREAM lab students. We meet once a week, so are covering the module over ten weeks. They are working in pairs, and doing quite well, with great enthusiasm. Many of my robotic club students are in the class, and they have helped mentor the other completely inexperienced students. Next up will be week 8, and I know they’ll love incorporating forks. They have struggled with attaching buttons to the board (and a few prongs have broken), and a few students still place their LEDs backwards. I have shortened the wires on the 220 Ohm resistors to more easily differentiate from the 10k Ohm resistors for them, and give them baggies with only the materials they need each week. I recommend Cogsworth City for the middle school age group.

It arrived in a nice little box. I inventoried what was in the box and compared it with what I expected to be there. Perfect match! Now it is sitting in the queue for when I finish 30 days lost in space. Probably going to be some overlap, but that is ok. Looking forward to starting it.
