Happy customer
Everything went perfectly from shipping time to exiting opening of beautiful box. Instation was as easy as downloading Thermal Master App and it automatically show updates and firmware. Usage is better than I ever expected with the focus ring everything comes in crystal clear and I love the options for color selections. I like this so much I bought one for a family member for their birthday.

Fantastic value
I was first hesitant getting this camera (it was a pricey buy for me) but after days of research and comparison to even more expensive alternatives (yes, Fluke, I'm looking at you) my doubts were gone. The camera is outstanding for it's price. Very well built and capable for its size. The manual zoom is a game changer especially since I'm using it for electronics primarily. Very soon I will be using it also to troubleshoot the electrical installation of my apartment too, can't wait to test it out but I'm sure it will not disappoint. Really great investment, hopefully it will serve me for years to come. P.S. This camera is also very handy to search for my cat that loves to hide in tight/dark spaces. If you're a cat person you know what I'm talking about ;-)

Like many middle aged men, I have been interested in thermal cameras since Predator! I followed tech releases with keen interest 8x8 resolution, 64x128⦠still underwhelming. Well this one, P3, has a decent image -and not by cheating with a scaled-up, low-res heat map overlayed on a standard camera output! Thatās important. In the images I show of Sponge Bob, one could be forgiven for thinking the detail in the thermal image is merely a software merging of of the two images.. In fact, you can cover your phone camera altogether and it makes no difference to the image. (Edit: Although, perhaps thereās a clever use of two cameras inside the unit -not entirely certain i can ruke this out) The reason for the detail is that different colours of paint absorb different amounts of heat -you can see black is the hottest. In addition the video frame rate is decent (feels like ~25 fps) so you can see amazing video of hot water mixing with cold -in real time. The thermal resolution without cheating can be confirmed by experiments that introduce normally invisible heat to a surface that conducts poorly. E.g. a bare foot on a wooden floor produces an accurate image of contact and temperature. See also the image of my shower releasing hot water and showing not only the pipe inside the tiles, but also what I believe to be the spots of glue holding the tiles! Amazing. Another excellent feature is a focus wheel that letās you use the camera to look at things like circuit boards up close -invaluable for technicians. Some downsides: 1) The accompanying app, which is clunky and crashy. 2)The thermal protection, which is probably better to have than not to have, limits what you can do - I got some great footage of a kettle on a gas stove, but then the thermal protection kept kicking in and turning the camera off. 3) The fact that that this camera depends on the phone and the software āwhat will happen when Apple change iOS? Will my camera then be effectively bricked?
