This is just what I needed for my plane. No need to carry extra batteries, squelch works great, and I can actually hear other pilots. This replaces my radio that broke soon after I bought it and had so much static that I couldn't hear anything. I look forward to not fighting with the radio anymore!

Great purchase

Radio works better than expected and has great range. At 4,500 ft I reached a friend at a small grass strip from 45 NM. Glad I purchased, great back-up.
