Pretty ok.
I like that there is a mix of grasses. While the perennial rye eventually came up when the soil temperature finally warmed, the other grasses are a bit slow to “catch”.
I prepared the the areas by raking out the dead grass (vole damage), spread out black earth, seeded with my rotary hand spreader, walked over the area to ensure good seed to soil contact and then added some peat moss. I watered lightly each day. After a week, I lightly fertilized using the SeedLaunch Pro. I watered daily when nature did not offer the help.
I seldom have success repairing lawns in spring, so this was an improvement especially with the thorough guide from Stripeseed.
What else did I like- Mark sent emails about how the weather was in my area and when I can expect soil temperatures to improve.
What would I like- Mark to tell me how to prevent voles from destroying my lawn under the snow in Burlington, ON!

Fantastic high quality seed
Very high quality lawn that comes in fairly quickly with proper watering. Highly recommend. The Striped Seed seeding guides and advice are very useful too.

Not for me.
Only 30-40% of the seeds germinated.
Stored in dry, dark place inside… waited for soil temps to reach over 14’C consistently and raked up all the old thatch and leaves.
I then hired an aerator and after the cores broke down (4 days) I seeded, top dressed and watered on the correct schedule for three weeks.
Unacceptable, now I have to buy seed again!
