My Favorite Bag
I am a bag man. Over 79 years I have participated in many activities: lifting weights, backpacking, swimming, day hiking, martial arts, bowling, pistol shooting and running. For each I have had a bag or pack that fits both the physical requirements and the “look and feel” of the activity. I started CrossFit a year ago but had only a wimpy little bag for my workouts. About 3 months ago I started looking for the right bag for my daily CrossFit routine. I wanted a rugged, functional and classy bag. It had to stand out as different in a sea of bags. Entering my box one morning I met a member for the first time. Actually, I met his bag first, because that was what drew me to a conversation with him. He told me he loved his bag and it was a KNKG and could be found online. I found KNKG and ordered a medium olive colored waxed bag with compartment dividers. The bag is everything I wanted, and more. It has two side compartments, a shoe compartment, two bottle holders, zippered pockets in the top flap, inside pockets, side Velcro straps and with the divider, two large compartments, which allows me to organize my gear. The functionality is great, but the real attraction for me is the look and feel of a waxed, distinctive bag. Because I am an old Marine, my daughter sends me Marine Corps patches that over the years have piled up in my top drawer. This bag reminds me of the Corps and CrossFit…rugged, attractive, extraordinarily competent, and graceful in its function. Anna, our local tailor, hand-stitched the latest patches my daughter sent me on my bag. I now have a totally unique workout bag. I highly recommend this bag for those who want a truly excellent product that I believe reflect the values found in both the Marine Corp and CrossFit.
