Bulb is still not manufactured to the same standards as other brands. The bulbs continue to have the white wire pinched between the edison base metal and the plastic bulb body, instead of soldered to the edison base exterior. This results, over time, in the wire heating up and softening the bulb body. Then the wire starts migrating deeper into the plastic bulb body, lessening the contact area to the edison base metal, causing further heating of the wire, which further softens the plastic bulb body, and further lessens the contact of the wire and the base. I have preformed forensic examinations on many of the 100 or so bulbs I have purchased from your company. Bulbs that would not light when 48 VDC was applied to the base, would light when the base was removed and power was supplied directly to the two wires. There was evidence of the white wire suffering shorting against the base metal. If you are going to continue to take the shortcut of pinching the white wire between the base and plastic body, you should at a minimum increase the metal surface area of the wire end, so that it makes better contact with the base. A metal tab of approx 3X3mm, or a piece of conductive metal tape, clamped to the wire end, should ensure positive connection.

Needed a light for a driveway. No option for a line voltage. Used landscaping lighting transformer. Slit the lawn with a spade and buried the low voltage wire.
