Berd HAWK30 Gold Carbon Wheels

Great wheels.

The asymmetric rims look great and I like the subtle pad printed black logo instead of the white stick-on decals on the Sparrows I have. The hubs are also really nice. The ratchet freehub is the loudest I've ever heard, so be prepared for that. Of course they're ridiculously light and ride great. I put these on a sub 10kg FS XC build. The Sparrows on my gravel bike are great too.

Even better than my other Berd wheels

I’ve been running Berd Wheelsets for the past 5 years, most recently the Hawk27 with Talon hubs. I’ve been very happy with those, but the new Hawk30 Gold is a definite upgrade. They’re noticeably lighter, which translates to a quicker feeling in the front steering and slightly better acceleration. Trail chatter (e.g. brake bumps) is also even better. This is very nice, especially since I ride a hardtail. They’re expensive, but very nice.

Incredible wheels! My bike has come alive as I couldn't have expected! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
