The Dos Ríos roast from Botero Coffee is impressively balanced without being boring. It leans into a smooth, medium body with just enough brightness to keep things interesting, but never crosses into that overly acidic territory that makes you question your life choices halfway through a cup. There’s a subtle sweetness that comes through cleanly, with light citrus and a hint of cocoa rounding it out. What stands out most is how forgiving it is. Whether you’re dialing in a pour-over like a precision instrument or half-asleep and dumping grounds into a drip machine, it still delivers a consistent, satisfying cup. Not flashy, not trying too hard, just a genuinely well-executed roast that makes your morning slightly more tolerable. Which, frankly, is all most of us are asking for.

I really enjoyed this coffee. You can tell a lot of care goes into how it’s grown and processed. It has a rich, creamy body and a smooth medium-dark roast that’s easy to drink any time of day. The dark chocolate and molasses notes stand out right away, with a subtle orange brightness that keeps it interesting, and the smoky finish lingers in a good way without being overpowering. It’s well balanced, not too acidic, and feels thoughtfully crafted. Definitely one I’d buy again and keep in my regular rotation.
