Material is thick and sturdy with plenty of movement, comfortable, able to be dressed up or dressed down easily. I got it in black, green, and tan and I wish it was available in red so much!!

I’m glad I can wear my more heavily patterned shirts with a Maya Kern skirt!! It’s comfy, a good length, the usual deep pockets. A+.

I got a plain black skirt to embroider as a Christmas present. It came in good time and is in fine shape. It's heavier than I expected, likely due to the durable quality and ginormous pockets. There's enough stretch that it fits me for testing purposes, and ought to also fit its intended recipient. Spin-wise, it does a really interesting belling-outwards trick instead of spinning straight out or flipping upwards. If I were picking something for myself for dancing I would want something with more flair, but it's a really good trick if you want some skirt spin without showing your thighs. Embroidery-wise, it has folds but not consistent pleats. I haven't started the project yet to say how it takes the floss, but I imagine most customers are looking for the as-it-comes prints, which are extremely cool. As T-shirt fabric, it retains its size after washing, but the hem does flip up like a T-shirt cuff. This is, as T-shirt wearers have likely noticed, a solvable problem.
