Great but slim

Great sweatshirt and love the fit upon arrival. A bit concerned with how it will fit after washing though as it’s more of a slim fit.

Mid quality for the price

I love a heavy weight sweatshirt and have sought them out over many years. My wife had an original American Giant she loved so I thought of the brand and decided to try them out. I got an XL bc i like my sweatshirts baggy. Overall, Im disappointed in the quality, fit, and how it washes up. First, the quality of materials is much softer than a classic heavy-weight you get from other brands, especially work brands (carhartt, dickies, etc). I like the softness, but the issue is that it loses a bit of the warmth and durability by changing materials. Second, the fit was great when i bought it. I wash all my nice clothing on cold and hang dry. Even doing this, i still need to pull the sweatshirt arms and body out because the fibers bunch up during wash. It's annoying and ultimately (third point) the fit suffers. The arms are normal length but the waist length has shrunk some. After a wash, the shoulds/hood sit really heavy as well, which make it fit a bit weird (as if there is too much material through the hood/shoulder area). Overall, it's fine, but not the $180 shipped hoodie I thought i could rely on everyday.

Excellent fit; I feel its a little too warm for everyday wear, but its great for one-layering when its cool outside, or inside!
