During the coldest winter I have experienced since 1976, the anorak has surpassed my expectations. Its design allows for ample layering and provides generous shoulder space, while the deep pockets are useful for carrying gloves and serve as effective hand warmers. Features such as high-quality fleece, storm cuffs, cinch tabs, and a thoughtfully constructed hood offer excellent wind resistance and heat retention. The only instance where wind penetration was noticeable occurred on a day with temperatures in the low teens and gusts reaching up to 60 miles per hour.
Surprisingly, minimal layering is needed: a T-shirt suffices for hiking in the 30s (°F), a sweater is required in the 20s, and in the teens, I added a quilted zip-in liner from another jacket, which performed well.
Overall, this is the best and most versatile winter jacket I have owned, representing excellent value.

Very nicely done. Should help in keeping me warm for many years.
