My largest and most active dogs are 2-yr old 84# American bulldog pit mix and love this toy. However, they have basically destroyed --within one week--one of the three I purchased by playing tug of war. Great toy as long as you don't give to the dog to play alone. Super for fetch but won't withstand chewing or tugging.
