Plug & Play is the way!

I purchased the Alpine 5 channel plug & play kit along with the 6 speaker Alpine bundle with the 8” door speakers & a TGP 10” subwoofer box which I loaded with a JL Audio 10W1V3-2 which fits nicely. The product itself is amazing & these guys did a great job with the wiring. They have definitely got the plug & play thing dialed in. The only reason I took a star off is they don’t have any YouTube videos of this actual amp getting installed in a Gen 3 Tacoma so you are left with some plain instructions with no illustrations to go off of. I had to reach out to their customer support numerous times when I’d get stuck on a step but those guys are great at responding quickly. I even got a text from their support staff with a picture that helped me figure out where the last wire harness was supposed to go. One thing that I can tell Gen 3 taco owners who want to place this amp under the passenger seat, you will have to trim an 8”x12” section of insulation out before mounting & use some screws that are a little longer than the ones provided. I also had to trim the little plastic covers that go over the back of the seat where it bolts into the floor. Once they have a YouTube video with the install of this amp in a Gen 3 & cover those little nuances that I mentioned, you will love this setup! 20 years ago you needed a 4 ch amp for your mids & a mono block for your subs. 5 ch amps are the way to go!
