As soon as I opened these grates and took them out of the box, I was like, "Whoa." The sheer weight and quality of these things is immediately apparent. What have I been using this whole time? Old flimsy, semi-rusted grates from Weber, that's what. If Hunsaker makes a high quality replica of a WSM 22" someday, I will buy it. I've never considered a drum smoker, but I'm now looking at theirs. Thank you for the good old fashioned American quality products!

Make sure you choose the correct grill. I accidentally ordered a Weber Smokey grill instead of a kettle grill, but turned it into a solution. I used the 22" top grate and flipped the 21" bottom grate upside down, securing it to create a second grilling level. Now I have more cooking space instead of wasting the product. These grates are very heavy-duty, thick, and sturdy. I’ll definitely order again for my smaller grill. If you’re tired of rust and that iron smell, go with 304 stainless steel—it lasts much longer. Just clean them after use and they’ll hold up for years.
