adorable. i had to return and get a size down. The pockets were extremely large and bulged out in the medium. I returned and got a S. fits perfectly. just hope i don’t gain weight…. love it

Gloriously Beautiful Material, But Weird Huge Pockets

I ordered this pretty purple and fuchsia patchwork Pinafore dress in a size M, and it arrived today, and I found the pockets to be huge and voluminous, which detracts from the cuteness of its silhouette. The pockets are so large & deep that they hang out from the sides, and that’s not the look I was going for. The skirt is also quite full & voluminous. Because I’m not a seamstress, fixing the pockets would be risky, and although I love and adore the floral beauty of this dress in the fabulous purple/orchid and fuchsia, I’m sending this one back. Unfortunately, it’s a “miss” for me, and not a “hit”. But there are many other great dresses that have worked out for me on Modern Prairie, so all is ok.
