A bit messy

Auto-leveling is good, a lot of grounds get caught in the tamper and it's quite messy. I bought it together with the whole setup. The tamper was a little disappointing.

Save your money

The tamper is adequate, doesn’t do anything wrong. But it pales in comparison to something like a norm core self leveling tamper. The idea of tamping through the funnel is a gimmick at best, the funnel has to come off at some point no matter what, and you might as well go ahead and take the funnel off and use an excellent tamper instead of this gimmicky one.

Great piece of the PortaStack system

I've really enjoyed using this tamper as part of the new PortaStack system. It feels very high quality and works seamlessly with the tamp-through funnel. The shake-distribute-tamp workflow of the PortaStack system has become my favorite puck prep method, and this tamper is a key reason why.
