The Dark Night of the Soul

I'll confess up front that I have not read the book in its entirety yet as a Spiritual Guide who has a solid foundation in Carmelite Spirituality has advised that I read two other works by St. John of the Cross first before diving in to "The Dark Night of the Soul". I am now in the process of reading the second of those two "prerequisites". I've scanned the book several times and look forward to the day in the near future when I can delve into this book in earnest.
