The script is awesome
This game is laugh out loud funny! The script totally appeals to it's audience. The gameplay I was not sure on but by the time I earned my first many game I was hooked. The double jump was so expensive that I was like what I cant just learn it but then I realized how fun it is grinding for coins with the mini games!

Short and Sweet
Great little sidescroller with cheeky meta jokes about gaming and Chromatic itself, exploration-based levels, catchy music, and some challenging boss fights. One of my favorite Modretro originals so far

Surprisingly natural to this platform
Enjoyable and plays as smoothly as any platforming game originally released for a Gameboy.
The high reviews are totally warranted. The art style has a modern twist but it's subtle, along with a refreshing bit of edginess. The mechanics are smooth as silk in the game takes full advantage of native hardware without feeling like it's exploiting easy horsepower . There is a hub/map with multiple worlds to unlock and explore, similar in feature to MB3. It's enjoyably familiar while definitely feeling like its own property. Everybody who plays it, loves it!
