Smith & Wesson M&P Shield X & TLR-7 Sub OWB Holster

Excellent fit!

This is the first holster made for a light that I’ve ever tried. It’s perfectly form-fit, which impressed me. This will suit my purpose for range training where OWB holsters are required. The only thing I’m missing is a positive “click” in the retention, which I have on other holsters and generally prefer. Even after adjusting the retention screws as tightly as I was comfortable doing, it seems the design of this is a friction/wedge fit. I’d love to know if it is possible to engineer when lights are mounted (as in, is it reasonable to expect). Overall I’m happy with the holster and would recommend it.

Bad Retention

Decent holster however retention is not good. Screws in my unit were not plum and accordingly I could not get positive retention without it being way too tight. Emailed the company who basically told me I was wrong and didn’t know what I was talking about so now I’ve got a holster than cost me a hundred bucks that can’t safely be used.
