Beatbot Sora 30 Robotic Pool Cleaner

Decent for the price.

Does a decent job. It's completely random the way it cleans. Watching it I scratch my head wondering what its doing. But in the end, it dies its job. I love that it floats when its done. No more fishing my junk aiper out of the deep end. Also love the charging port. No cover to fumble around with. All in all, I'd recommend it.

Had the pool for 20 years. Love that it has no hoses and just goes about its business. Love this. No more vacuuming of the pool. This does it all. Should have bought it sooner.

Elegant beast with some limitations

Out of the box the Sora 30 looks hefty and tastefully designed. Packing for delivery seemed well-considered and methodical. It was very easy to get the mobile app and wi-fi connected to the Sora 30, and charging to full battery takes very little time. I appreciate the large basket format and the ability to climb walls to the waterline and clean steps. The surfacing for retrieval function is a nice feature. I do wish the Sora 30 was a bit more systematic in cleaning an irregularly shaped pool. While I get fairly good results with very little visible debris in the pool at the end of a cleaning cycle, it seems like some wall and waterline areas are missed in standard mode. Also, the app notifications for end-of-cycle are hit-or-miss, likely because the robot doesn't surface high enough to catch signal. For the app itself, I wish an update would push notifications for a full battery, lest I forget to unplug it. (As of now, I still need to manually check the battery status whether charging is completed. I'll plan to keep the Sora 3, with hopes that the product and app incrementally improve with customer feedback.
