We planted these seeds a couple of weeks ago. They had quick germination and a high rate of growth. The seedlings seem strong and not fazed by the TX heat at all. Great seeds can't wait to see them at full size!

I grow marigolds all year round under lights in an apartment, here on the moon in Nebraska. Over the years, I've been through about 80 cultivars. My wife - for whom I grow these flowers - likes the Durango series (and Fireballs and Jaguars). Durangos are very bulletproof - I just started on 8 May the second of two sets for the year - one in May, and the other in November. I grow 50 plants at a time - 5 plants x 10 cultivars that all fit in my trays. The Durangos are off to the races already and I will be repotting them in 4 inch pots over the weekend. The laggards this time are the Colossus. I like that you guys put your seeds in a glassine envelope. I never get through a whole packet of seeds in a year (not at 2 shots x 10 seeds a year) so I usually have some seeds left over for the next year. The envelopes are a bit more protective than loose in a packet. It is not catastrophic if I don't get 100% germination each pass - this is suppose to be fun, right? - but I do like seeds that take off as soon as you water them and YOUR seeds did so this time around. Thanks - I'll be back!

I'm new to french marigolds, was so pleased to see these blooming after only forty seven days.
