these needles are very easy to thread, and the thread doesn't pull out of the eye even when a hard tug is necessary. So far they haven't bent, and the point is nicely sharp. My only critical comment is that I wish they sold a full pack of 6 in in a single size, rather than a 6-pack with 3 sizes. I find I only use the smallest size (length) for what I do (EPP and hand applique most often).
