Enjoyed my initial make of the Blossie Basket and have three cut out ready to sew for gifts. I did use a lightweight iron on vilene on the smaller hexagon as well as the batting just to ensure the fabric was strong enough and I'm happy with the results.

I was searching for an achievable project to test my concentration. Last November I crashed my car, broke my neck, and other more minor injuries. My concentration skill is nowhere close to where it used to be. The Blossie was a perfect fit. My guild was having an ugly fabric challenge. I used my ugly fabric for my basket. I was able to stitch by hand for a bit of time with my numb fingers, and eventually the project was completed. It was the first project that I took on and finished since the crash. Thank you for your clear instructions and diagrams! That completion was a wonderful achievement.

Sad to say I haven’t as yet stitched this. Read all the instructions which I thought were very thorough (thank you). Might look for some fun fabric at the Quilt show in Sydney tomorrow. :)
