Almost the best tie

This tie’s pattern caught my attention immediately. Restocked in a timely manner, I was looking forward to adding it to my collection amongst my tie racks. It came with a card showing “our favorite way” to tie a Boon tie. I’m a full Windsor kind of guy, and hardly a quarter way through my usual rhythm, I could already tell the knot was going to be massive. The fabric of the tie is astonishingly thick. I didn’t even finish my normal knot, but went with theirs instead, closely resembling what I know as a half Windsor. The knot still had a neat appearance like a full Windsor, but it felt like I was wearing a boulder against my throat. I could always feel this mass at the base of my neck. The pattern is exquisite, one of my favorites I’ve ever seen on a tie. True to its name, it’s a grandma pattern through and through. Very appealing to my style. It got a lot of compliments when I wore it. But I unfortunately can’t get over how thick the fabric is, and how it impacts the knot and wearability.
