A joy to watch and learn from.
I haven’t even finished the Joint Academy yet, but I’m already hooked! Between Scott’s expert instructions and his personal tips on what actually works, the value is incredible. The camera work is top-notch, and his humor makes it a joy to watch. It's definitely a must-have for any woodworker's library.

The Joint Academy
I bought Scott's Joinery course which I'm most of the way through and he has done an excellent job arranging a very comprehensive course that will help give me enough confidence to tackle the kinds of joinery I'd like to do. Truly informative, thorough and a convenient future reference. I really appreciate his opinions on various approaches and not just a neutral presentation. Thank you Scott

Good course for learning how to build joints with a minimum set of tools
The course is upfront with what tools are required and the course is limited to those tools with no surprises on having to purchase a specialty tool. The video quality and camera angles offer great visual guidance. I find this to be a great reference course. By that, I mean it's not an A to Z sequential course where you start with chapter 1 to learn the introductory basics of wood working and build on that until you get to the specialized final chapters. You choose the joint you're interested in and select the segment from the various methods (build with table saw, router, etc.) and go directly to that option. The joints are listed in alphabetical order but were not recorded in that order. Hence, If you decide to view each joint in the order listed, be prepared to hear references to segments you haven't seen yet. This is a minor inconvenience as the referenced material is offered again, but maybe not quite to the level of detail as the referenced segment, and it does not hinder the learning experience. I would recommend this course to those who have a few minor projects under their belt and would like to learn how to build tight, accurate joints with these tools.
