I don't understand what is so great about this applicator.

Much better than the cheap knockoff versions.

These sponges are definitely not worth the hype. I've been using Real Techniques sponges for 6 years, and they're a better quality sponges, much larger, and they have way more options in their sponges textures, depending on what finished base look you're going for. But again I was influenced by social media. The Beauty Blender is soooo small in comparison to other sponges. It takes forever to apply my foundation. Also, I don't like the texture it leaves on my skin. Also, it's just way overpriced! Definitely not worth the money. You can find a better quality sponge at the drugstore.
