It should be able to connect parallel to standing. The diagonal directions creates too small of a space to fit my toddler in now.

Incredibly sturdy, especially for my little guy learning to stand for long periods of time. He leans and sits and puts so much pressure on the guard and it doesn’t even move it’s so strong. Would absolutely recommend!

I was to return it. It is cumbersome to put on and take off. The baby climbs on the ladder and its challenging to put it on.
