Vacuum Genie

The vacuum itself works very well. The bags are sturdy and haven't leaked. The product itself is very good. I don't think it's a good fit for my kitchen. It's definitely not ideal for foods that have a good amount of water: greens, peppers, cucumber, etc. I'm guessing it's better for denser or harder foods rather than garden perishables. The carrots did fine. The brocolli and cauliflower did ok. I did not try any of my fruits because I thought they would be squished. The bigger mason jar genie might be a better product for our kitchen as the storage container itself is hard. Hopefully softer food items won't be crushed inside a glass jar. Contemplating a return of this item and a purchase of the other item to see if it's a better fit for us. Overall, impressive product.

My first food that I sealed was half an avocado!!!! Very impressed. 3 days and it was still all vacuumed and a beautiful green.

Love the ease of sealing meat without the clumsiness of a big machine, and the reusable bags are a bonus!
