Good afternoon Ryan, everything is just great with the Shifter kit. I followed your advice and adjusted the PPF first. That was the most laborious part. Fitting the kit itself was a very straightforward and enjoyable experience. Driving experience - absolutely love it. 1st to 4th super smooth and quiet. 5th and 6th gears there is a very slight buzzing sound at 40-50mph and 50-60mph respectively but it disappears above those speeds. Getting the PPF set correctly is vital. This was my son’s MX5 previously and he didn’t adjust it and ended up with the gear lever knocking the gear gate when in 5th and 6th gears. In the end he returned the kit. I then bought his car, decided to give it another go and the rest is history……….. 😁

First, it looks beautiful on the 2003 NB. I still have to adjust it to be exactly centered in the hole and to be perfectly flush in terms of height. This is normal, I just haven't had the time. Also, removing the sound deadening material lets you hear more gear noise from the transmission. I might put that back, not sure. It shifts perfectly! Can't imagine going back to stock. Also, it's pretty rare out there among MX5 mods. Other Miata guys point it out and ask about it.

Absolutely perfect. Have experimented with all sorts of shifter rebuilds, short throws, etc. none of them come close to the quality and experience of the gated shifter! Would buy for every car if I could.
