Rolux 17" Verticutter with Rolux 196cc Engine

Rolux VertiCutter VS-17

First timer with regards to Verticutting my Bermuda lawn. I was looking for an alternative to cheap electric ones online. I asked my AI app to suggest a few good gasoline units and the Rolux VS-17 was the best for my needs. Placed the order online with the American distributor and was lucky enough to pick it up and saved the $275 shipping fee. The unit is well built and very easy to operate. So far the only issue I am having is the HOC adjustment knob. It’s too small for my liking and is hard on the hands to adjust. After multiple attempts to set the HOC I gave up and just used a wrench. Overall it is a great cutter and would recommend to any residential home owner who is serious about having the best lawn you can have.

Ground speed too fast

It does the job well. Only 2 issues with it...I wish it had a name brand engine but I'll have to deal with that when it breaks. The bigger issue is the ground speed is too fast. I'm old and cannot sprint across the lawn. I have the engine speed as low as it will go and still spin the blades. Tru-Cut mowers have this issue and they offer a speed reduction kit which works well....we need something like that.

This verticutter was packaged very nice. It looks like a well built machine. I won't be using it for about a month, but runs well and looks like it will work great.
