Bamboo Hand Plane - Standard Rod Making Package

Fantastic rod making tool. I have built bamboo rods for 15 years using the basic planing form with success. I was able to build a 8’ 3” 6wt with the Montana rod makers hand plane working with Ric and Bob in the new shop. It was a great experience and I was very impressed with the precision and repeatability of hand plane and the great tapered rod strips I was able to produce. Ric and Bob are great instructors, wealth of fly fishing knowledge, and wonderful hosts to the area. I learned some new tips that I have not been using in my rod building process as well, including hollowing the rods. Purchased Montana Hand Plane before I left shop. Arrived well packaged, arrived timely, and good instructions on bench mounting etc. Ric is just a phone call away if I have any questions.
