VW ID4 Space Saver Spare Wheel - HUB CENTRIC - Braumach Spare Wheel Kit - 2020-2026

Wheel arrived quickly with good communication from company. Unfortunately it is about 30mm too wide to fit in the lower compartment area of a VW ID.4. This meant I had to make some additional supports for the boot area floor to raise it up and prevent it being unstable. This is not a fault of the spare tyre and I don't know if it could actually be made any narrower and still achieve safety standards. Overall I am happy with purchase and hope I never have to use it.

The kit looks like it will do the job nicely. I haven’t yet done a trial tyre change to verify it in operation and confirm I know how to place the jack and complete the operation. I was pleased to find the tyre already inflated to the correct pressure, and the Bluetooth tyre pressure monitor is a worthwhile inclusion. One missing essential item is a pair of folding steel wheel chocks, so I purchased them separately, as you don’t sell them. I have stowed the jack, chocks and a cordless tyre inflator into the bottom boot recess. The tyre will remain at home except for longer trips.
