No Grip Aid.

The grips are thick and potentially can aid in ripping prevention but that’s if you can hold onto to the bar long enough. These grips slip right off the bar from my experience (even on rough bars). I have not tried them on rings so I can speak to that surface but for bars I would not recommend. The cushioned wrist band does provide a more comfortable wear.
