New to DE shaving

I’ve used cartridge razors for over 40 years and decided enough of the exorbitant cost of cartridges and plastic waste after a friend gave positive feedback after changing to DE. I’ve been using the new kit Mulhe R89 for about 2 weeks, shaving every 3-4 days. So far, so good. It’s a bit different to cartridges and at first I missed areas. But now I know I need to check, it’s all good. No nicks so far! I haven’t used any blades other than the OEM Muhle yet.
