A great starter to get into the language

The great thing about this book is that you get an example sentence for almost every word. This means you don't just learn a list of words, but you actually get a feel for how it is used. Together with the free audio reading that you can download from the website (which I highly recommend to anyone), this really is one of the best resources to start out with.I used it to build an Anki deck together with the audio and it has belped tremendously with my other study efforts. Only drawback imo is that there are very few kanji in it and sometimes a word is written with different kanji for different uses and you are left to do your own research if you want to use kanji.
