Just INCREDIBLE
Ok, this is, by necessity, going to be a bit long. But if you hear me out, you'll understand why.
So, I haven't worn closed in shoes since 2014. Why? Well, after a massive accident and 47 subsequent operations, bending to put shoes on, or my hands managing such an action, was beyond me.
But now, the time has come for me to move more, use my body, get it ready for the next stage! (Sadly, the next stage is also more surgery), but surgery to get the weight off, then replace my buggered beyond all recognition knee, so movement is all-important, meaning I was going to need better shoes for this!
And so, my search began. Dear goddess above, SO MANY SHOES! But from personal experience, no sneakers were truly comfortable, they push on the metal in my foot, and I always want to rip them off after an hour or 2. So, I looked, read, researched, and finally decided to try a pair of Goodsoles. I was hopeful, but realistic.
And they arrived only a couple of days before a mammoth trip, (for me) to Wagga to meet with my surgeon. No way, thought I, that I'll be able to wear these through the 1 hour drive, plus both 1hr and 15 minute flights without pain, so I put a pair of comfy sandals in my carry on for the inevitable moment I ripped the shoes off.
They never left the bag.
These shoes, these Goodsole shoes, were SO comfortable, despite not being "broken in" that I was telling EVERYONE how amazing they were.
Qantas ground crew, getting me from flight to flight, heard so much about how incredible they were that one guy, on his first shift back after injury and surgery, ordered a pair while we were waiting at the gate.
Ok, but will they be as good on day 2, which has more walking, more stress, and THEN the 2 flights and hour long drive home?
MY SWEET GODDESS THEY WERE EVEN BETTER!!
Not even my slippers have this much comfort longevity! But my Goodsoles with lightning laces? When I finally arrived home and fell on my bed, I didn't even need take them off first, I was in pain, sure, but NOT my feet! My knees and hips hate me, my spine wants to move out, but my feet just want to know why I waited this long to pamper them as they deserved. I don't know, I told my feet, please forgive my ignorance. You will never walk in discomfort again.
These shoes look fantastic, are easy for even this tormented soul to get on easily, (took a few practices, but the failing was all mine) and most of all, and so incredibly comfortable that you'll forget to take them off.
I cannot rate these shoes higher, or recommend them more. Looks, comfort, ease, they are winners in every category.
These will be my shoes for every difficult day in my future, as well as the shoes that will help me loose weight, and get moving again. Putting them on makes me happy and hopeful, knowing they will be with me throughall future adventures, capers, and trysts!
