After checking with families that just returned from the beach I decided to opt for the ground stakes....xl version....for a little extra stability in the wind. They worked perfect and I used a carabiner to secure to the loop just in front of the sand bag.

These stakes make a world of difference for setting up the Neso on the beach. Worth every penny.

I haven't used the XL yet, but I have the regular length and they held my tent in 35mph winds where the straight ones did not. That is why I bought more.
