The Evolved Booties

Bought them for my wife as her walking around the house because it’s too cold shoe. She knows nothing about outdoor technology but it gave her exactly what she needed to be comfortable. She really likes the fleece inner liner as it’s not clammy at all. Her only “complaint” is she wishes they were a little shorter as they tend to fall down after walking a bit and the material gets in the way. However she was able to simply roll them down to solve that issue. All in all, great for a person who has cold feet but likes having no sole that gets in the way of sitting cross legged.

you know that feeling of setting up camp at sundown when your shoes, socks, and feet are soaking wet, the temperature has fallen into freezing, the wind has picked up to make it feel like everest, and you just want to slide into your sleeping bag, snuggle up, and get warm, but you know you can’t because your feet are wet, pruned, and icy? well, these make everything better. no sticky 10d nylon stuck to damp foot skin. just nice, cozy fleece to let those piggies air out and warm up. and warm, dry feet means better sleep. ultralight? oh, yeah. light as a feather. what else needs to be said? i got these to replace some smartwool classic mountaineer max cushion xl socks i was using as sleep socks. these booties are way, way, way better. i’ve used these down into the mid 20s and my feet stayed warm.

Taking these bad boys on the first 104 miles of the Colorado Trail this week. Fit is great (10.5 shoe; got the Large) and they seem super comfortable and light. Pack into the foot box of my sleeping bag without even knowing they’re there. Shipped fast and great communication.
