Sea Secure Trolling Motor Lock

Fairly easy to install. Some quirks found in the process as compared to the instruction video but simple enough. Be careful with torque when tightening the base plate to the motor base

I bought another lock from a well-known company and it ended up being absolute garbage. I found this lock and I am extremely impressed. I do not have to worry about it getting corroded or getting locked onto the boat where I have to cut it off. The fit was perfect and there is no play in the bracket. Very satisfied.

I was looking for an anti-thief deterrent for my trolling motor. Did not want to keep removing it after fishing and carting it home. The trolling motor was mounted on a Sea Swivel trolling motor mount and I happen to see they also offered a locking mechanism. Installation was extremely simple and I am impressed with the quality, and the nature of the locking part. Instead of buying a lock with a key and have it bang around in rough conditions, I highly recommend researching the lock used to protect your investment.
