Service & delivery, EXCELLENT, the chair itself, the jury is still out...
This company is AMAZING to work with. They are quick to respond, shipping was fast, the shipping company called in advance to confirm a good delivery day, and the driver actually did call as promised to confirm. This is impressive! I would absolutely do business with this company again! And it's a US, family-owned business, for me this is a bonus!!!
As for the chair, it’s taking some getting use to, the base is much bigger than my dental chair and impedes my ability to get close to my client. I am a permanent makeup artist, so I need to be able to freely change positions and work from many angles, and I just don’t have the clearance for my stool like I had with my other chair. The legs are constantly getting caught up on the base.
I love the programable settings, but programming instructions are not in the manual so it was a frustrating process, but I did figure it out, eventually. Oh, if you lose power, you lose your settings and must reprogram it.
I do not like how you store the hand remote. They have small leather, tabs on the backs of the arms to hang it on, but this means you must keep the removable arms on. The chair is wide enough that you, or I, really don’t need them. I find putting the remote in the intended spot allows the cord to drag on the floor and get in the way of my stool, again, for some procedures I move around a bit. I’m sure I’ll be able to come up with a fix at some point, just not sure what that is yet.
I was surprised that the hook for the handheld remote is plastic, kind of cheap looking at that, this was a disappointment given the price point.
The rest of the chair is of reasonable quality, it isn’t super high end, but it isn’t cheap looking either. The fabric is soft but poses another problem as I need to be able to use hospital grade disinfectants to clean it. I’ve been using HGD on my dental chair regularly for over five years, and it’s held up great! This is on me; I should have read the whole manual. I’ll be spending another $300 for custom fit covers.
It is SUPER quiet! A little slow, but that’s probably for the best for safety reasons.
So far, my clients approve of the change, they really liked my old dental chair, it was comfortable. I’m sure in time I’ll figure out some work arounds, which kinda stinks because that was the whole purpose of buying a new chair in the first place, until then it’s an adjustment with the biggest challenge being the clearance for my stool. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go see it in a showroom before I bought it. If I am being honest, if I had to do it over, I do not think I would buy it, or should I say I wouldn’t buy this particular style.
