Torqeedo 5 HP Electric Outboard Motor - Model Travel XP S

Good quality. Works well, except mounted on a 10' True-Kit, it cavities terribly at anything over 3mph. Is there any way to remedy this?

Good points:L The motor is easy to use. It has lots of Power and Torq. It's light and easy to handle. When running the motor at half speed it ran very well. Lot's of Torque. Bad points: The propeller cavitates as soon as you open up the throttle fully and the motor then shakes and cuts out. It can only be run constantly at half speed. I had to go online and purchase a cavitation plate to add to the shaft above the propeller. Torqueedo does not have a cavitation plate. The one that I found to fit is made in Austria for epropulsion motors, it was expensive at almost $200 Also, I could not get the motor to stay hooked up to bluetooth with my iphone. It keeps dropping the connection.
